Beginning his racing in sports cars, Paul turned to offshore boats in 1995 with his father Mark. As the radio and navigation technician Paul’s career started with a win in the P-1 class in the Mille Miglia del Mediterraneo Rimini-Viareggio, a 1,000 mile non-stop endurance race around Italy. Paul and Mark then set new endurance records in both the Chicago-Detroit and Tampa-Miami endurance races.

Paul began driving in 1996 and later that year he piloted the team’s FB Design 40 monohull ‘NEMSCHOFF’ to overall wins in Key West and the APBA/SBI/USO Offshore C World Championship. Since then, Paul has won two National and three World Championships in various classes. In 1998, he was inducted into the APBA Hall of Champions.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Denver, with a degree in International Business, and in 2001 received his MBA from Georgetown University. Prior to business school, Paul worked for three years in International Sales with Fountain Power Boats.

Paul resides in Manhattan Beach, California with his black lab ‘Haus’ and works for Toyota Motors Sales in its graduate management program.

Currently Paul and Mark share the cockpit of the #41 Tommy Bahama Super Cat. They are considered to be elite competitors within the class.
